Center for Real Estate Education As of July 1, 2008, all licensed real estate salespeople and brokers are also required to complete 22.5 hours of continuing education courses every two years before renewing their license. The only exemptions are for attorneys who are also licensed real estate brokers and anyone who has been licensed as a broker continuously for at least 15 years (since May 1993). To receive credit for a course you cannot miss any classes.

The required textbook for RE-100 is Modern Real Estate Practice in New York-10th edition by Sam Irlander, Dearborn Publishing. The textbook for RE-101 is Modern Real Estate Practice in New York for Brokers-10th edition by Edith Lank, Dearborn Publishing. The textbook for RE-100A is 30-hour Remedial Course, 1st edition by Sam Irlander, Dearborn Publishing. All textbooks are available in the Pratt Institute bookstore, phone is (718-789-1105 ). Students should purchase the textbooks prior to the first day of class. Students should also bring a calculator to class.
